As part of the project, a pharmaceutical-grade 2D printer will be installed at the University Hospital of Tübingen, which will enable the individual dosing of active ingredients for patients. In addition to the printer, DiHeSys is also supplying the required print cartridges with the printable active ingredient mixture to the hospital. The printer is qualified on site and put into operation by the local pharmacist, who prepares and releases the final formulation according to the doctor's prescription. Based on drug-dose relationships, the patient is prescribed and prepared a personalized medicine tailored to their individual needs. This allows the effect of the drug to be optimized and undesirable side effects to be reduced. The University Hospital of Tübingen is responsible for selecting patients, administering the drug to patients, monitoring and documenting the safety, evaluation and success of the therapy.
